About me

Fun fact about me

It all started with a lovely dream my mother had. In her dream, she saw me playing the harp. She woke up excited and told me about it, and together, we decided to make her dream come true!

My journey

After graduating cum laude from Barnard College at Columbia University, where I double-majored in Music and Psychology, my first full-time job was as an SAP consultant at Accenture. But I soon realized my heart was elsewhere. I found my true calling as a harp teacher, and I’ve been doing it happily for over a decade now.

I hold an LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music)  in Harp Performance, have won a few prizes in competitions, and have performed here and there. But what truly makes me proud is seeing my students fall in love with the harp. The moment one of my students earned her distinction in the LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College London), I actually shed tears of joy. For me, helping my students grow and feel confident is far more rewarding than any personal accolades.

Drawing from my experience teaching piano and exploring different ways to work with young children, I wrote a little book called My Harp Book. It’s a labor of love, designed to make note-reading feel more fun and less frustrating for the little ones (or for anyone just beginning their music journey!). You can find it here on my site in both digital and physical formats.
